Wanyama arrived in Glasgow while the team were on their pre-season tour of Australia but didn’t officially become a Celtic player until they arrived back home.
Three days into his Hoops career he was handed his non-competitive debut, coming on as a substitute with 15 minutes remaining of the 1-0 win against Cardiff City.
The midfielder played for his previous club Beerschot from Belgium, for three years, and made his debut against Nigeria in a friendly at the age of 15.
On joining Celtic he became the first player to wear the number 67 jersey and said he chose it to show his appreciation of the club’s history. He has since become a fans' favourite in the heart of midfield and has been one of the star players this season.
