The prolific striker has proved a huge success since joining Celtic in the summer of 2010 from Scunthorpe, finishing as the club's top marksman in his first two seasons in Paradise.

Hooper began his career with Grays Athletic in non-league football down south before progressing through the divisions.

He signed for Southend United and had loan spells at Leyton Orient and Hereford United before joining Scunthorpe United.

His first goal in the Hoops came in the 2-1 win over Braga at Celtic Park. It was a sign of things to come, and the hitman has also proved he can operate at the highest level, scoring two goals in this season's UEFA Champions League group stages.

Neil Lennon has been vocal in his calls for the Englishman to receive international recognition.
