The second Israeli to play for the club after Eyal Berkovic, who Kayal used to watch on TV when the former Celt was playing for the Hoops.

 

Holder of two Israeli championship medals, Kayal joined Celtic from Maccabi Haifa and quickly made a favourable impression in his first season in Paradise.

He signed a new deal in October 2011, which extended his contract with the Hoops until 2015.

The midfield schemer is a regular for his national side after appearing at Under-17, 18, 19 and 21 levels for Israel.
