    Security Guard

    (Part-time, Permanent)

    Reporting to the Security and Events Manager, the Operations Department, at Celtic Park Glasgow, is currently recruiting for a Security Guard to be based at our Lennoxtown Training Centre.

    Key accountabilities:

    • To provide a comprehensive reception service for staff, visitors, trades people and emergency services welcoming and assisting them as and when required.
    • To undertake periodic patrols to check and ensure that rooms and buildings are secure, both within, and outside normal office hours, using radio communications as necessary and analysing logs/documentation as directed.
    • To operate and monitor all systems within the Security Office in an efficient manner ensuring that all work is undertaken in compliance with the operating procedures, legislation and the codes of practice.
    • To ensure all incidents are accurately logged onto a database and to record all events and actions taken in a clear, legible and accurate written format.
    • To provide an efficient and courteous radio and telephone answering service.
    • To deal efficiently with all enquiries.
    • To cover both day shift(s) and night shift(s) on a rotational basis.

    Skills & Experience Required:

    The preferred candidate will be confident, have previous Front of House experience and will hold an SIA Door Supervision/Security Guarding Licence and SIA CCTV Licence. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are essential to this post. The successful candidate will be flexible to support the business as and when required.

    Girls Academy Operations Manager part-time (12 hours per week), permanent

    Celtic Football Club are looking to recruit a part time Girls Academy Operations Manager.  Reporting to the Women’s Football and Girls’ Academy Manager, the position will manage and coordinate the Girls Academy coaching operations and communicate with parents, coaches and players.

    Main responsibilities will include:

    • Management and delivery of U11s-U17s curriculum
    • Ensuring safe and effective operations of allocated squads and professional conduct of all personnel and players within the U11s-U17s age groups
    • To establish and maintain up to date records of the Girls’ Academy staff members and ensure that all safeguarding issues and incidents are reported promptly
    • Oversee and follow safe recruitment processes and attend relevant training courses on safeguarding and child protection
    • Provide advice to staff regarding safeguarding and child protection policies and practices
    • Establish and maintain up-to-date records of U11s-U17s players including but not confined to records of attendance, development activities and individual assessments
    • Participate in the delivery of coaching and training sessions throughout the U11s-U17s Academy
    • Guide and advise on all team selection at U11s-U17s
    • Ensure and organise appropriate staff cover for all coaching sessions and matches
    • Be responsible for the organisation of training facilities in consultation with Academy Manager
    • Liaise with the Academy Manager in relation to all match day preparations and fixtures
    • Organise all parent’s evenings on technical and performance elements of U11s-U17s players’ progression
    • Be responsible for the development of the coaching operations within the U11s-U17s in consultation with the Academy Manager
    • Oversee the assessment of players in conjunction with the Academy Manager

     

    Other Responsibilities:

    • To attend and assist, as required, at residential coaching sessions and youth tournaments
    • To undertake miscellaneous administrative tasks relating to the Academy’s activities
    • To participate in club visits and to provide presentation feedback to Academy staff
    • Provide verbal and/or written reports, as directed by the Academy Manager

     

    Knowledge Skills and Experience

    • Relevant coaching qualifications to UEFA Pro Licence
    • Previous football experience in coaching  and playing
    • High level of management, prioritisation and organisational skills
    • Good IT Skills

    Kit Assistant

    (full time, permanent)

    Celtic Football Club is currently recruiting for a Kit Assistant.  Reporting to the Kit Controller, the position will ensure the appropriate kit is available at all times, across both Lennoxtown and Celtic Park, covering home and away fixtures.

    Evening, weekend and bank holiday working is integral to the role.

    Main responsibilities will include:

    • To ensure First Team playing staff and management are supplied with the required equipment for all training sessions and matches, both home and away
    • Responsible for packing the necessary kit for all First Team match activities, home and away including overseas fixtures
    • To ensure all equipment is available to the playing and coaching staff at the training ground
    • To manage and oversee laundry function, ensuring all kit for first team playing staff and management are laundered appropriately and on time
    • Recording and reporting any kit discrepancies after each match to the Warehouse Manager
    • To provide general assistance at training session to first team playing and coaching staff
    • To record all kit issued to players and coaching staff in line with Club processes
    • To liaise with the Laundry Assistant to ensure that all deadlines for kit use are met
    • To build and maintain professional and effective working relationships with all colleagues including the first team playing staff, coaching, administration and management staff
    • To build and maintain strong working relationships with the Kit, Warehouse, Retail and Laundry staff

    Other responsibilities:

    • To assist in the monitoring and management of health and safety within the laundry room/kit room areas
    • Take responsibility for personal performance and the development of personal skills to ensure the required skills, knowledge and competence to fulfil the role
    • Encourage and promote the value of Celtic Football Club and to comply with the required standards of conduct
    • Ensure all work is prioritised and completed with a high degree of professionalism and quality
    • To liaise with the Travel Manager on kit movement for European fixtures and training camps

    The successful candidate will be organised with excellent prioritisation skills and will have the ability to work in a sensitive environment whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.

    First Aid Stewards Required to Work at Celtic Park on Match Days

    We are looking to recruit staff on a casual basis as designated First Aid Stewards at Celtic Park on match days.

    This is a responsible and specialised role within the stewarding operation, with a focus on the health, safety and wellbeing of both children and adults.

    All stewards are eligible for additional benefits such as discounts in our superstore.

    A HSE First Aid at Work certificate must be obtained by the individual prior to work commencing. Other basic training will be provided.

    Duties include:

    • Assisting those indeed who may be injured or unwell.
    • Liaising with the full First Aid team as appropriate.
    • Checking Tickets
    • Answering questions from spectators
    • Helping people to their seats
    • General stewarding duties

    Experienced Chefs to work at Celtic Park on match days

    We are looking to recruit qualified, experienced chefs to work on a casual basis, within the hospitality operation, at Celtic Park, on match days.

    Reporting to the Head/Sous Chef, this role will entail all aspects of food preparation and food services during match days. Rates of pay are competitive and a typical shift on a match day would be 8am – 4pm

    Key accountabilities:

    • To prepare, cook and deliver food to the highest standard, in line with Chef’s menu and/or service brief
    • To keep kitchen areas clean and tidy, highlighting any maintenance issues or potential hazards to the Head/Sous Chef
    • To have an understanding of all kitchen procedures, food safety paperwork and the recording of wastage
    • To be passionate about food and maintain the highest company standards
    • To ensure customer satisfaction at all times

    Work Experience & Internships

    Unfortunately we are unable to accept any more work experience or internship placements at present as we are now fully committed for the next 12 months.

    Celtic offers a rewarding and comprehensive week-long Work Experience programme for school pupils aged 14-15. This provides placements in five different areas of the business during the course of a week. These typically include the Ticket Office, Superstore, Pools, Hospitality and Visitor Centre. Very occasionally we may be able to accommodate pupils on a specific department of their choice, such as Multi Media or Finance.

    Celtic also receives numerous enquiries about longer-term placements and internships, paid and unpaid. Regrettably, we generally do not have the resources to be able to offer this kind of programme.
