CELTIC are delighted to announce that Tony Watt has signed a new four-year contract that will see him remain at the club until at least summer 2016.
The 18-year-old striker has made an immediate impact since making his first-team debut against Motherwell at Fir Park in April this year. He scored two goals in a 3-0 win.
And this season, Tony has already scored six goals, including a brilliant effort in the 2-1 victory over Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League. The player came off the bench to net Celtic´s second goal of the night.
Speaking to the official Celtic website, Tony said: "I´m delighted to have signed this new contract. I´m a Celtic fan and this is where I want to play my football.
"The last couple of weeks have been incredible, and to sign the contract just a week after scoring against Barcelona is brilliant. I know I´ve still got a lot of hard work ahead of me in my career, but it´s great to know that I´ll be here as part of this exciting young team the manager´s building at Celtic."
More reaction to follow later today on the official website.
