Check out the Henrik statue in Helsingborg

By: Newsroom Staff on 20 Aug, 2012 11:46

CELTIC supporters travelling to Sweden for this week’s UEFA Champions League play-off match with Helsingborgs, are sure to be warmly welcomed by fans in Sweden. There is, after all, a strong bond between both clubs in the shape of the legendary Henrik Larsson.

The city of Helsingborg has a statue of the great man in his honour, and fans can enjoy a guided tour of the town, which includes a visit to the statue.

The Henrik Larsson Statue Project manager, Oscar Akerstrom, will be the guide for the day and it’s sure to be a great way to start your trip.

The meeting place is The Bishop’s Arms (Sodra Storgatan 2, close to Mariakyrkan) at 2pm (Helsingborg time) this Tuesday, August 21. And the guided tours, which are free of charge, take place at 4pm, 5pm and 6pm.

During the walking tour through the city to the statue site, you’ll hear the story behind the project.

And after spending time at the statue, where they will be an opportunity to take pictures, it’s back to the Bishop’s Arms to enjoy the friendly, pre-match atmosphere (food & drink at your own cost).

This is a unique opportunity to see the statue of the Celtic and Helsingborgs legend. You can also get more information at www.facebook.com/henriklarssonstatue
