rosemary burns 'honoured' to be involved

ROSEMARY Burns, wife of the late Celtic legend Tommy, has spoken of her delight at being asked to unfurl the league championship flag at the opening SPL match of the season against St Mirren on Sunday, August 10.

Rosemary told the official Celtic website: “I am very, very proud to be doing this and of course it will be an emotional day for the whole family.

“I am honoured and privileged that Celtic have asked me to take part in this ceremony and I am sure that Thomas would have appreciated the gesture. I am doing it for him and for Celtic.”

The flag unfurling will take place just before the 12.30pm kick-off in the St Mirren game when the Champions will begin their bid for a fourth successive league title.
