CELTIC have been drawn against English champions Manchester United, Spanish side Villarreal and Danish champions Aalborg in the group stages of this season’s UEFA Champions League.
The SPL champions, who were placed in Pot Three for the draw, came out in Group E when the draw was made in Monaco this evening.
Celtic last faced Man United in the tournament in season 2006/07 - losing 3-2 at Old Trafford and winning 1-0 at Celtic Park thanks to Shunsuke Nakamura's iconic strike.
The Hoops have a superb relationship with Spanish side Villarreal after meeting in the quarter-final of the UEFA Cup in 2004.
Danish champions Aalborg are managed by Bruce Rioch and reached the group stages after beating Kaunas in the qualifying rounds.
