Celtic kick off towards the Lisbon Lions Stand

Passback from Daniel Lafferty sliced into the stand by goalkeeper Paul Skinner. Throw in taken quickly by Hibs, but offside given as the ball is swung in from the left.

Good build up down the left sparked by Sheridan's lay off and involving Carlo Monti and Paul Cahillane. Cahillane swings the ball into the box from the flank, straight onto the head of Sheridan, whose header flashes inches wide of the keeper's left hand post.

Lovely move by Celtic, with Luca Santonocito and Michael Tidser linking well in midfield. Tidser then lays a beautiful ball out to Monti whose attempted long ball forward is snuffed out by the defence.

Another corner from Celtic, finds its way out to Luca Santonocito whose shot goes wide of the post.

Another good break for Celtic after two excellent ball winning challenges in quick succession, the first from Sheridan and the next from Michael Tidser. Move breaks down when Kevin Cawley over-runs the ball.

Another great move from Celtic, this time with Monti tearing over the halfway line. Ball worked into the middle and laid off to Cawley whose shot stings the palms of David Grof.

Lovely ball forward from Jason Marr takes Sheridan down the wing. He then cuts in a cross which flashes across the face of goal, just inches beyond the outstretched toe of Paul Cahillane.

Free kick from out on the left, lifted in to the back post by Tidser. Ball collected by Grof.

30 yard effort from Curtis Byrne flashes about a foot over the bar. Hibs' first credible attempt at goal.

Another good move from Celtic after a clever build-up. Cahillane's ball finds the head of Sheridan who, unmarked and just six yards out, somehow lifts his free header over the bar.

Great touch from Carlo Monti completely beats Oliver Russell and allows the Celtic left back to swing in a good cross which is hurriedly cleared by the defence.

Another beautiful through ball by Richie Towell puts Cillian Sheridan through on goal, but the big striker sees his shot blocked by the legs of Grof.

Another good chance for Celtic, this time for Cawley, who sees his shot from a Sheridan cross blocked.

Kevin Cawley fails to shepherd a ball out, allowing Hibs to cut in a cross from the byline. Kurtis Byrne's shot goes hopelessly wide and out for a throw in.

Good break for Celtic. Cahillane lays ball off to Sheridan whose cross is bravely headed away by Fergus Bell as Towell threatens.

Incredible save from Paul Skinner! Good Hibs build-up with Bell going past three Celtic players and laying a ball off to Russell. His cross is struck sweetly by Patrick Deane on the edge of the six yard box and looks bound for the back of the net. But remarkably, Skinner gets down and somehow parries the shot, lifting it up and over the crossbar. Great save!

HALF TIME WHISTLE SOUNDS - Celtic 2 Hibs 1
Celtic largely dominating this encounter, playing fine football. Hibs goal came completely against the run of play and from one of their few chances.

SECOND HALF RESUMES

Daniel Lafferty snuffs out a ball on the halfway line and breaks forward, stumbling at the last moment as he tears down the left flank.

Good break down the right by Grant Gallacher sees the full back put an inviting ball into the middle which is cleared by Scott Smith.

Kevin Cawley sees a shot from the edge of the box saved by Grof after great play and a good break down the left by Monti.

Marr receives treatment after being caught late. Captain is okay to continue.

Sheridan fouled for a free kick just under 30 yards out. Monti steps up to take, but his set piece fails to clear the Hibs wall.

Sheridan chopped down by Euan Moyes after the Hibs defender swipes at fresh air in an attempt to clear the ball and is then forced to bring the striker down.

Russell hooks the ball off the line just as Celtic look set to grab a third. Grof claims Sheridan's header from Monti's ensuing corner.

Good cross by Towell finds the head of Santoncito at the back post. His header comes off the covering defender for a corner. Corner then cleared by Jack Wilson.

Scott Smith receives treatment for a head knock.

Lee Currie escapes without censure after a poor studs up challenge on Cahillane. Grof claims Tidser's free kick.

Hibs sub - Philip Johnston on for Patrick Dean (striker for striker)

Kevin Cawley attempts a shot from 25 yards out but fails to make the right connection.

Michael Tidser warned after leaving his boot in a challenge on Lee Currie.

HIBS SUBSTITUTION - Darren Kelly on for Fergus Bell. Kelly moves up front with Oliver Russell dropping in at right back.

Kurtis Byrne makes an attempt from over 25 yards out which goes high over the bar.

Smith penalised for a foul on Sheridan, but Currie receives a booking for dissent.

Sheridan fouled out on the left flank. Belated whistle for a free kick. Tidser's set piece wins a corner

Nearly another goal for Celtic! Sheridan's cross come shot cannons off the keeper and spins in the air. Grof then flaps at the loose ball, with the defence clearing.

CELTIC SUB - Eric Foley on for Luca Santonocito.

Offside given against Cahillane as he attempts to nip through on goal.
