Game kicks off with a neat passing move from Celtic which sees Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink tee up Paul Hartley on the edge of the box. The midfielder slips as he shoots, knocking the ball high over Alan Combe's crossbar.

Steven Naismith brought down by Lee Naylor on the edge of the box after sprinting forward from the halfway line. Set piece comes to nothing and is comfortably cleared by the Celtic defence.

A jinking run by Aiden McGeady to the byline is followed by a cut-back to the near post which almost finds Vennegoor of Hesselink and then Hartley.

Deep cross from McGeady on the left sets up Vennegoor of Hesselink at the back post for a glorious chance, but rather than shoot, the Dutchman attempts the cut back to Zurawski which then sails harmlessly across the face of goal.

Simple long ball forward is sliced by Alan Combe, with the ball then chased down by the tireless Vennegoor of Hesselink. The Dutchman plays in Scott Brown, whose cross is cleared as far as Massimo Donati who then drives a 25 yard attempt at goal which sails just yards wide of the Kilmarnock post.

Quick breakaway by Killie sees Steven Naismith and Allan Johnson combine, with winger Johnson escaping his marker and haring toward goal. The former Hearts man is stopped in his tracks by an outstanding sliding challenge from Mark Wilson.

Another sprint and a couple of step-overs from McGeady takes him through the heart of the Killie defence. Winger looks to cut the ball back, but is well covered by full-back, David Lilley.

Knock down by Maciej Zurawski inside the box finds Scott Brown whose shot goes two or three yards wide of Combe's right hand post.

Paul Hartley finds the run into the box by Zurawski and should do better with a low drive that is collected at full stretch by Combe.

James Fowler picks up a bad knock during that move and is stretchered off the park with his leg heavily strapped. He is replaced by Rhian Dodds.

Great build-up involving Brown and Zurawski on the right allows the Pole to set up his strike partner Vennegoor of Hesselink with a cross to the back post. The Dutchman gets above his marker, but fails to hit the target.

Scott Brown is again at the heart of a good move by Celtic which ends with Aiden McGeady curling a speculative effort from the edge of the box wide of target.

Foul by Naismith on Vennegoor of Hesselink presents Celtic with a late chance as John Kennedy is found at the back post. But the bigf defender can only scoop his shot over the crossbar.

Frazer Wright appears to handle the ball inside the box as he attempts to shield the ball from Vennegoor of Hesselink. No penalty given.

Celtic emerge from the tunnel unchanged, with Kilmarnock having made no substitutions during the interval.

End to end stuff as Killie hare forward and drive a ball into the box which Colin Nish almost reaches at the near post.

Naismith booked after attempting and failing to hit McGeady with a late and high challenge in the middle of the park.

Nakamura free-kick lifted to the back post and headed out for a corner by defender.

Lovely first touch and crossfield pass by Nakamura finds McGeady who wins a corner. Corner then lifted over the heads of everyone, going out for a throw-in.
