Celtic's new No.17 ready to play his part

By: Newsroom Staff on 31 Jan, 2012 14:26

  • PAWEL Brozek was officially unveiled as a Celtic player at the Lennoxtown Training Centre today, and he can´t wait to pull on the green and white Hoops in a competitive game.

The Polish internationalist, who has joined the club on loan from Trabzonspor, will wear the No.17 jersey.

And speaking exclusively to the official Celtic website on Monday after his move to the club was confirmed, Pawel said: "I’m very happy because Celtic were very determined to sign me and it didn’t take a long time.

"I spoke with Lukasz Zaluska and Maciej Zurawski and they said only positive things about the club. So when I heard there was an offer from Celtic I wanted to go straight away.

“They told me the fans are fantastic here, how well organised the club is, and what a great name the club has all over the world. It’s all happened very quickly. It was a really nice surprise because it’s a big club and a big name in Europe.

"Glasgow’s a very nice city and a great place to play football. And there is a very good manager and coach. The team is very good and there are excellent training facilities.
