Celtic starting XI for return to action in France against Nice

By: Paul Cuddihy on 16 Jul, 2020 16:00

  • CELTIC return to action tonight (Thursday) after a four-month hiatus, and Neil Lennon’s side take on Nice in the opening game of the Veolia Trophy at the Groupama Stadium in Lyon (KO: 5.15pm Celtic Park time).

Pre-season preparations have been going well for the nine-in-a-row Scottish champions, and that will continue with three games in France – tonight’s match against Nice followed by Lyon on Saturday and then Paris Saint-Germain next Tuesday – as the squad gears up for the start of the Premiership season next month.

Scott Brown will captain a strong Celtic side that will be looking forward to getting back into action following the enforced break in competitive football.

Kick-off in the Groupama Stadium is 5.15pm (Celtic Park time). For all the pre-match build-up and live updates check out the official Celtic Twitter –@CelticFC
