    Four from the Fans: James Forrest answers your questions

    By: Joe Donnelly on 25 Mar, 2020 16:01

  • WITH the Scottish football calendar postponed due to the current coronavirus crisis, the Celtic View team is catching up with the players to ask them your questions. First up in our ‘Four from the Fans’ series is James Forrest who, like everyone at Celtic Football Club, hopes Hoops fans far and wide stay safe in this period of uncertainty.

    Look out for the relevant hashtags on the Celtic View’s official Twitter feed in the coming days and weeks for your chance to be featured in future series entries.

    FAVOURITE GOAL OF THIS SEASON?
    @grantona86

    ‘I think I would go with the Lazio goal over in Rome. We went down 1-0 in that game, so to come back before half-time was important. We won that game as well, to become the first Celtic team to win a competitive game on Italian soil, so that was important for the club as well. Lazio were also flying at the time as well, so that felt like a really important goal and one I’ll always remember.’

    FAVOURITE GOAL YOU’VE SCORED IN A CELTIC JERSEY?
    @Mic_433

    ‘My first goal against Rangers during the 5-0 league title-winning derby in 2018 is up there, as is the goal I scored in the last minute of the Shakhter Karagandy game, in the Champions League qualifiers of 2013/14. Those were two very different goals, but two important ones, which were both cause for celebration for different reasons.’

    FAVOURITE ASSIST OF YOUR CAREER?
    @RichieW443

    ‘That’s a good question. Let’s say the one for Cal’s goal against Bayern Munich in the Champions League at Celtic Park in 2017. He always makes brilliant runs off the ball, which makes my job easier, but that was a great finish as well against one of the best teams in Europe. We didn’t get the result we wanted that night, but we did go toe-to-toe with them for long periods of the match.’

    FAVOURITE KIT YOU’VE EVER WORN AT THE CLUB?
    @kaiman53

    ‘That’s another good one. I don’t know actually. I suppose you can’t go wrong with the Hoops. I always love the home kit, and if there’s a big game which one strip or other reminds me of, then that's all the better as well. The home top the year we beat Barcelona in 2012 was nice. The Hoops during the Invincibles season was nice too. ‘I don’t know - the easiest answer here is the Hoops, in any way shape or form!’
