Billy McNeill remembered and celebrated in House of Commons

By: Newsroom Staff on 20 May, 2019 09:31

  • CELTIC Football Club has today been informed that there will be a special 'adjournment debate' in the House of Commons tonight, Monday, May 20, to discuss the great Billy McNeill, a true Celtic legend and our greatest ever captain, who sadly passed away in recent weeks.

The debate, secured by Brendan O'Hara, SNP MP for Argyll and Bute, will discuss Billy's contribution to Scottish, UK and European football, allowing MPs to pay tribute to one of football's true iconic figures.

The debate, which should take place around 10pm (but may be earlier) on Monday will also be available to view on this link HERE
