Gr8 since 1888 title party! Celebrate with the 8-in-a-row champions

By: Newsroom Staff on 18 May, 2019 08:53

  • THE Bhoys will once again be crowned Scotland’s champions on Sunday as a sold-out Paradise hosts their eight-in-a-row title party, when the Bhoys take on Hearts in the final SPFL match of another dramatic season (KO 3pm).

Make sure you arrive early to soak up the party atmosphere as we celebrate once more with the finest team in Scotland.

Here’s everything you need to know:

    10am: Celtic Superstore opens
Pick up your eight-in-a-row champions merchandise with scarves, mugs and t-shirts, as worn by the Bhoys when they wrapped up the league at Pittodrie! You can also take the opportunity to pre-order the 2019/20 Home Kit, available exclusively from Celtic in the UK from Tuesday, May 21.

    10:30am: Ticket Office opens
The Ticket Office will remain open until kick-off at 3pm for those looking to collect tickets for the sold-out fixture.

Please arrive early, as queues are expected due to large crowds.

Supporters who have chosen the ‘print at home’ option for the match, are reminded to please print your tickets prior to arriving at the stadium, as there is no printing facility at Celtic Park.

    11:30am: The Kerrydale Bar opens
Entry is available on a first-come, first served basis, with both the lounge and food court open. Liam McGrandles gets the pre-match build-up underway with all your favourite Celtic songs. Sky Sports and classic DVDs will be on the big screen too.

12:30pm: Celtic FC Foundation charity badge collection gets underway

Find the Foundation volunteers around the ground pre-match and pick up your Celtic FC Foundation charity badge. This season’s unique badge celebrates the club’s incredible eight-in-a-row achievement. The design features our Celtic FC Foundation branding, with the No.8 shown in Roman numerals - 'VIII' - sitting proudly at the centre, a collectors’ item celebrating our eight-in-a-row victory. (A minimum donation of £2 is requested).

1pm: Let’s get the party started!
Trophy Day celebrations begin on the Celtic Way. Soak up the party atmosphere with our #Gr8Since1888 photo opportunities, plus a mini SPFL stage set up for you to celebrate like the champions!

1:15pm: SPFL Trophy arrives at Paradise
Be there as the official SPFL Premiership trophy arrives on The Celtic Way.

    1:30pm: Scotland’s champions arrive
Prepare to hail the players who made it all happen as they arrive for a welcome procession up the Celtic Way, led by club legend the maestro himself - Paul McStay carrying the SPFL trophy.

    1:30pm: Stadium Opens
The fun continues in the Family Stand (Sections 115 – 117 of Lisbon Lions Lower) with facepainting available for young fans. We’ll also have our usual Xbox games zone and Hoopy the Huddle Hound will be dropping in to party with fans before the game.

Paradise Windfall Superdraw, £15,000 to be won. One lucky Celtic supporter will receive a life-enhancing prize during the match with an amazing £15,000 to be won.

Look out for Windfall staff wearing the famous yellow jerseys to buy your £2 tickets, available throughout the stadium before kick-off. The draw will take place at half-time and the lucky winner will be invited to collect their prize on the pitch.

Trophy Day Memento - Matchday Programme & Celtic View. This week’s special Trophy Day match programme provides an in-depth look at the champions’ successful league campaign and is a great souvenir from the day. Alternatively, why not get both the Celtic View and Trophy Day match programme for a combined price of just £5.

    2:55pm: You’ll Never Walk Alone
Get to your seat in time to join in an unforgettable rendition of You’ll Never Walk Alone before kick-off with a packed Paradise in full voice.

First up, show your support for the stars of the future; the Celtic Youth team, as they do a lap of honour with the Glasgow Cup.

Then, once the stage is set, it’s time to raise the roof as Neil Lennon and Scott Brown lead the Bhoys to collect their winner’s medals and the all-important SPFL trophy before taking a lap of honour to round off a hard-fought season.
