Erik Sviatchenko makes permanent move back to FC Midtjylland

By: Paul Cuddihy on 27 May, 2018 19:31

  • ERIK Sviatchenko has moved back to Denmark, rejoining FC Midtjylland on a permanent basis. The defender had spend the second half of the 2017/18 season with the club, helping them win the Danish title.

The 26-year-old Danish internationalist had previously spent eight years with FC Midtjylland  before joining Celtic in January 2016. During his time with the Hoops, he made 63 appearances, scoring two goals, winning two league titles, two League Cups and the Scottish Cup, and he was part of the club's Invincible treble success last season.

Everyone at Celtic would like to thank Erik for his contribution to the club's success over the past two-and-a-half years, and we wish him every success in the future with FC Midtjylland.
