Moussa returns as Hoops aim to maintain European progress

By: Paul Cuddihy on 05 Dec, 2017 18:30

  • MOUSSA Dembele returns from injury to lead the line for Celtic against Anderlecht in their UEFA Champions League clash at Paradise. Brendan Rodgers’ side are currently third in Group B and are looking to book a place in the last 32 of the UEFA Europa League, ensuring European football after Christmas.

In the corresponding game in Belgium back in September, the Hoops won 3-0 thanks to goals from Leigh Griffiths, Patrick Roberts and Scott Sinclair.

The 21-year-old French striker is one of five changes that Brendan Rodgers makes from the side which beat Motherwell 5-1 at the weekend, with hat-trick hero Odsonne Edouard dropping to the bench.

Jozo Simunovic, Callum McGregor, Stuart Armstrong and James Forrest also come in the starting XI for what is a vital European tie for the Hoops.

Kick-off at Paradise is 7.45pm. For live updates of the game, follow the club’s official Twitter feed @celticfc

CELTIC: Gordon; Lustig, Simunovic, Boyata, Tierney; Brown, McGregor, Armstrong; Forrest, Dembele, Sinclair.
Subs; De Vries, Bitton, Griffiths, Rogic, Ntcham, Edouard, Ajer
