Give As You Live and help Foundation's Christmas Appeal

By: Newsroom Staff on 09 Nov, 2017 10:01

  • AS the Christmas shopping frenzy approaches, it can be difficult to find the time to search for affordable gifts for your family and friends.

This festive season, Celtic FC Foundation and Give as you Live are offering our supporters the chance to find the best deals on their Christmas shopping whilst donating to those in need.

Give as you Live is an online fundraising platform allowing users to shop at over 4,200 top stores and raise free funds for charity. It operates by donating a percentage of your transaction to your selected charity at absolutely no extra cost to you. There really is no easier way to support Celtic FC Foundation for free, when buying your Christmas presents online this year.

In recent years, Give as You Live has helped us raise over £162,000 for a host of our community projects and the focus is now on our 2017 Christmas Appeal.

Shopping with Give as you Live and donating to Celtic FC Foundation could not be simpler as all you need to do is:

    - Create an account HERE
    - Search for a store you want to shop with on Give as You Live. There are over 4,200.
    - Click on the store logo and Give as You Live will direct you to the website.
    - Make your purchase on the retailer’s website and Give as You Live will track the transaction.
    - Give as you Live turn a percentage of the commission paid by the retailer into a Celtic FC Foundation donation..

Our 2017 Christmas Appeal was launched at the end of October and reflects the very essence of why our club was set up back in 1887.

We want to help around 300 local families facing poverty, to provide a meal on the table and gifts for the kids. We want to bring the magic of Christmas to those homes. We are also looking to help vulnerable local pensioners to ease the financial burden at a challenging time of year, plus a number of other local charities who support those experiencing homelessness or other disadvantage.

But we can’t do this without you. Tony Hamilton, Celtic FC Foundation CEO, said: “Online shopping is a hassle-free way for many to navigate Christmas. With Give As You Live you can help Celtic FC Foundation help others, with a very easy set-up. It won’t cost you a single penny more on your shopping.

“With your wonderful support, we can make a genuine difference and Share the Spirit of Celtic this Christmas.”
