Top comedy line-up at Celtic Park – book now and don’t miss out

By: Newsroom Staff on 20 Oct, 2017 13:12

  • IT'S almost time for another fun-filled evening of top comic talent in The Kerrydale Suite, with the return of the Comedy Night at Celtic Park on Friday, October 27.

The evening kicks off at 7pm with a tasty curry on arrival, while the European Cup will be on display for photo opportunities, before Glasgow’s very own Christopher McArthur Boyd hosts the show and introduces our superb line-up for you.

Here’s a little taste of what you can expect from our fantastic acts:

    Host – Christopher McArthur Boyd
Described by STV as 'following in the footsteps of Kevin Bridges, Greg McHugh, Des Clarke and Daniel Sloss’, Christopher was also a finalist in both ‘So You Think You’re Funny 2014’  and “Scottish Comedian of the Year 2014’ award categories. He’s a great Glaswegian comedian, perfectly poised to kick-off the show!

    Jim Smallman
Jim performs his hilarious stand-up show all around the world, from Singapore to every corner of Europe, and has proven particularly popular with audiences in the USA. He was the winner of ‘Best Comedy Performance’ and ‘Best International Show’ at the 2010 Hollywood Fringe in Los Angeles and is an act not to be missed!

    Mat Reed
Born and bred in Sunderland, Mat Reed started out in comedy back in 2001 as half of the double act Mat & Faron with Faron Smith. As a solo act, he made the finals of the ‘Daily Telegraph Open Mic Awards’ in 2002 and the ‘Leicester Comedian of the Year’ contest the following year – he’s guaranteed to have you in stitches.

    Reverend Obadiah
He was a regular on all four series of BBC's Live Floor Show, for which he was nominated for Scottish BAFTA'S ‘Best Newcomer Award’. His 2003 Edinburgh Fringe double-headline show with Frankie Boyle provoked massive response and was hailed as the most exciting and original show on the Fringe. He will deliver a performance you won’t forget!

A guaranteed laugh and a great night out with a tasty curry included, all for only £15 per person!
