Celtic Women’s side set to face the Dons this Sunday

By: Newsroom Staff on 29 Sep, 2017 12:23

  • CELTIC face Aberdeen this Sunday in the Scottish Building Society SWPL1 following two good recent wins against Spartans and Hamilton Accies in which a total of seven goals and two clean sheets made the victories even more impressive.

Games against Aberdeen are usually very entertaining and often high-scoring affairs. This Sunday’s encounter is the 30th between the two clubs in all competitions in the 10 years Celtic’s women’s team has been in operation.

The Hoops have had very much the better of the exchanges, winning 21, drawing six and losing only twice. Aberdeen have struggled a little this season and are currently at the foot of the league table but are still in a good position to avoid relegation.

They’ll certainly be coming to East Kilbride on Sunday full of determination and it looks like a competitive match is in store.

It’s a good day out in comfortable surroundings, so why not get along and enjoy the match?
