    Celts make five changes to starting XI for Rapid Vienna clash

  • BRENDAN Rodgers has made five changes to the team that started against Blau-Weiss Linz three days ago for Celtic’s second match of their pre-season campaign today against Rapid Vienna.

    James Forrest, who came off the bench to score the only goal of the game against Linz and get the Invincibles off to a winning start in Austria, comes into the starting XI alongside Craig Gordon, Dedryck Boyata, Kieran Tierney and Scott Sinclair.

    Dorus de Vries, Jamie McCart, Calvin Miller, Jonny Hayes and Gary Mackay-Steven are the players to drop out.

    Kick-off in the Ertl Glas Stadion in Amstetten is 5pm (local time) and head to @celticfc for all the pre-game build-up and live match updates as Brendan Rodgers’ side step up their preparations for the new season against the Austrian Bundesliga side.

    CELTIC (4-1-2-3) Gordon; Lustig, Sviatchenko, Boyata, Tierney; Brown, Armstrong, McGregor; Forrest, Griffiths, Sinclair.
