Celtic delighted to sign goalkeeper Dorus de Vries

By: Newsroom Staff on 13 Aug, 2016 17:45

  • CELTIC are delighted to announce that Dorus de Vries has joined the club on a two-year deal. The Dutch goalkeeper has moved to the Scottish champions from Nottingham Forest, where he’s played for the past three years.

Dorus has previously played in Scotland, spending the 2006/07 season with Dunfermline Athletic, before moving to Swansea City, where he worked under current Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers, when he took over as Swansea boss in 2010.

After four years with the Welsh club, he joined Wolves and spent two years there before joining Nottingham Forest, and he was voted Player of the Year by the Forest fans last season.

The 35-year-old goalkeeper has a wealth of experience and everyone at Celtic welcomes Dorus to the club and wishes him every success.
