Calvin Miller signs new three-year deal with Celtic

By: Newsroom Staff on 24 May, 2016 16:15

  • CELTIC Football Club is delighted to announce that Calvin Miller has signed a new three-year deal with the champions.

The 18-year-old attacker put pen to paper on a new contract at Celtic Park this afternoon and will be looking to push his way into the first-team plans of new manager Brendan Rodgers after an impressive season for Tommy McIntyre’s Development Squad.

The Castlemilk lad has been at the club since age 12 and has worked his way up through the youth ranks at the Academy to become one of the brightest prospects in the Development side.

The talented teenager made his first-team debut against Galatasaray in the Antalya Cup in January 2014 and was included in the matchday squad for the final day of the season this year as the Hoops rounded off five-in-a-row with a stunning 7-0 victory over Motherwell.

Miller was also part of the side that won the SPFL Development League title without losing a single match this season, with his goals from the wings and up front playing a crucial role in the championship success.

The club wishes Calvin every success for the future as a new era under Brendan Rodgers gets underway at Paradise.
