Celtic Soccer Academy make capital gains in Washington DC

By: Newsroom Staff on 20 Feb, 2016 13:01

  • CAPITAL Futbol Club from Washington DC have become the latest club to join the ranks of Celtic Soccer Academy’s International Partnership Programme.

The Club are thrilled to welcome this fast-growing youth soccer club to our extensive list of 62 international partners in 21 countries. Capital FC’s commitment to player development in the US capital makes it a great fit for Celtic and our coaching staff will soon be travelling to DC to share insights into our coaching methodologies.

Whitney Minnis, Director of Coaching, said: “As the first and only soccer club in Washington DC, to partner with such a storied European club, this is a true honour and a tremendous opportunity for our members.

"This partnership is such a good fit in that both clubs have similar philosophical views on development of players and coaches, how we want to impact our communities, and grow the game.”

Celtic's International Soccer Academy Manager Willie McNab added: ‘We are delighted to add Capital FC to our International Club Partnership Programme and it again emphasises our commitment to building relationships across the globe.

"Capital FC is a very ambitious and progressive club and we're looking forward to a long and prosperous partnership with them."

If your club would be interested in becoming a part of our International Partnership Programme, please contact International Soccer Academy Manager Willie McNab on [email protected] or Tony Massie on [email protected] Alternatively, call us on +44 (0) 141 551 4335.
