Paul Hartley
• The lifelong Celtic supporter signed for the club in January 2007 from Hearts and helped the Hoops win a league and cup double in his first few months with the club.
• He has made a total of 53 appearances for Celtic, scoring one goal – a vital, bullet-header against Spartak Moscow in last season’s UEFA Champions League qualifier in Russia.
• Paul has also won 19 caps for Scotland, and has scored one goal.
• Prior to joining Hearts from St Johnstone in May 2003, he had spells at Hamilton, Millwall, Raith Rovers and Hibernian.
• He made a total of 149 appearances for the Tynecastle side, scoring 38 goals, which included 16 out of 16 penalties.
• Alongside Barry Robson in the heart of the Celtic midfield, Paul's drive, tenacity and composure in the holding role proved to be crucial in the closing stages of last year's Championship-winning season.
