Georgios Samaras
• Georgios scored on his Hoops debut, coming on as a substitute in the Scottish Cup victory over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park and netting one of Celtic’s five goals.
• He joined Manchester City from Dutch side Heerenveen, having scored 29 goals in 88 league games for the club.
• Georgios netted 12 goals in 65 appearances for Manchester City.
• The Greek striker helped Celtic to a third successive SPL title in 2008. He then completed a permanent move from Man City in the summer.
•Georgios started season 2008/09 on top form. He was then hindered by injury but returned to help Celtic beat Rangers in the Co-operative Insurance Cup final. He finished the season with 17 goals.
