Gary Caldwell
• Gary joined from Hibernian in the summer of 2006.
• He had trained with Celtic as a youngster before moving to Newcastle United as a 16-year-old.
• Gary has 25 caps for Scotland and scored twice for his country, most famously against France at Hampden in September 2006 when Scotland triumphed 1-0.
• He joined Hibernian in the summer of 2004 after two previous loan spells at the Easter Road club, and he also had loan spells at Darlington, Coventry and Derby while with Newcastle.
• He made a total of 118 appearances for Hibernian, scoring seven goals, while he has netted two goals for Celtic in 75 appearances.
• His last goal for the Hoops was in 5-1 Scottish Cup win at Rugby Park in January 2008.
• Gary's suspension for the recent game versus Aberdeen (April 19) ended his impressive run of 46 games in a row for Celtic.
