• Evander joined Celtic from Feyenoord in June 2006. He had spent most of the previous season, 2005/06, on loan at NAC Breda.
• He had gone through the famous youth development programme at Ajax before joining rivals Feyenoord.
• He has made a total of 49 appearances for Celtic, scoring one goal, against Hibernian at Easter Road back in November 2006.
• In the recent championship-winning season, his 21 appearances included 16 as a substitute.
• Evander has been capped at Under-19 and Under-21 level for Holland and flew out to join the Dutch Olympic squad in July 2008.
• He is named after former World Heavyweight boxing champion, Evander Holyfield.
