“Following our enormously successful project in Ireland last summer, Celtic in the Community are delighted to announce that Celtic Community and Academy coaches will be returning to Ireland to deliver motivational and exciting courses aimed at 5-16 year old boys and girls. The series of five-day courses are open to individuals of all abilities.
“The courses conducted by Celtic Community and Academy coaches will cover all aspects of play with individual improvement and fun being the objectives, and who knows, this could be the first steps to becoming the next Irish protege in the Celtic first team.”
The key to success of these programmes will be participation.
The Celtic in the Community (Ireland) courses have been specially created for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 16. Everyone is encouraged to take part and learn about the Celtic style of play and approach to the game.
the courses
The main objective of the courses is to make a difference to young footballers across Ireland. Each course will last for five days between 10 am and 3 pm and will focus on developing better players through practising skills and techniques, speed and agility exercises, and involvement in small- sided games: all with an emphasis on fun and enjoyment under the watchful eye of the Celtic coaching staff. Specialist goalkeeping training will also form part of selected courses.

Celtic is sending a team of highly-qualified coaches to Ireland to provide Irish youngsters with the opportunity to train and play with coaches from Celtic on home soil.
Our coaching staff will not only be working on individual skills and tactics during the courses, but they will be sharing the ethos and spirit that make Celtic such a special club.

Selection Course
Players under 14 years of age who have impressed during a course will be recommended to the appropriate Governing Body.
