Calling all Celtic Supporters
David Friel
"I'D walk a million miles for one of your goals". These famous
lyrics have been sung by millions of Celtic supporters throughout the
world during the club's incredible 121-year existence.
From
Lisbon to Seville, Glasgow to Aberdeen, the Celtic supporters have
continually shown themselves to be the best in the world, earning
recognition along the way.
In 2003, after the monumental run to
the UEFA Cup final, Europe's governing body presented Celtic with its
annual Fair Play award, while FIFA also honoured the club with a similar
award months later.
Now, as part of a special film being made to
highlight the exceptional and unsurpassed backing given to Celtic by the
supporters, the club wants to hear from Hoops fans around the world with
a story to tell.
Have you really walked a million miles to see
Celtic score just one goal? Did you go to Lisbon and forget to return?
Did you go to Seville and end up a Spanish citizen?
Have you
travelled by planes, trains and automobiles from some far-flung
destination to catch a glimpse of your beloved Celtic? Have you
interrupted a trip to the North Pole to see how Celtic got on in a
pre-season friendly?
Did you miss your wedding day to see the
Celts? Was watching the Hoops play a European tie more important than
seeing your first child being born?
Have you attended every game
for the last 25 years? Do your middle names extend all the way from
Simpson through to Lennox? Are you the only Henrik in your class?
If that's the case, then we want to hear from you.
Celtic is
more than a club and our supporters are revered all over the world. Year
after year, thousands travel across the globe to back the team.
The Celtic supporters are unique and this is your chance to play a part
in a film that shows just how fanatical they can be.
If you have
