POLICY ON TREATMENT OF DISABLED SUPPORTERS AND VISITORS
Introduction
Celtic
Football Club has a straightforward social mission statement:
"To maximise all opportunities to disassociate the Club from
sectarianism and bigotry of any kind. To promote Celtic as a Club for
all people, regardless of sex, age, religion, race or ability."
This Policy is an extension of this statement and sets out our
commitment to the interests of those of our supporters, customers and
visitors who are disabled.
Additional information and details of
our facilities can be found on our website, www.celticfc.net.
Key principles
Celtic is committed to taking
reasonable and practical steps to address the needs of disabled people
in obtaining safe and secure access to our premises and enjoying the
experience and services we offer.
We seek to treat all of our
supporters, customers and visitors fairly and with respect at all times.
Communication and information
We will
make relevant information available in a clear and manageable form.
Communications
Communication is not a
one-way process. To learn about, understand and address the needs of
disabled people, let us know what we can do to help and where we can
improve.
If a disabled person tells us about particular needs or
requirements, we will do everything we reasonably can to assist.
Contact Shaleen McAtasney on either 0141 551 4351 or via e-mail at

Complaints
Complaints will be dealt
with honestly and fairly. We will tell you whether we agree with you and
what action we intend to take.
If you have a complaint or
feedback, please tell us. You can contact our administrator on 0141 551 4351 or e-mail
smcatasney@celticfc.co.uk
Training
Celtic provides practical and relevant training to those of its
employees who deal regularly with disabled people.
The extent of
the training we do and its effectiveness is kept under review.
Infrastructure improvement programme
Various improvements have been identified and are being addressed as
part of an ongoing improvement programme.
Where larger scale
alterations are undertaken, works necessary to comply with legal
requirements and make our premises easier for disabled people to use,
are part of the planning process.
Monitoring and
review
Celtic recognises the need to keep this
Policy and the steps taken to implement it under regular review.
Constant improvement is sought.
Issues affecting, or which may
affect, disabled people form part of the agenda of the Company's Health
and Safety Committee, which includes representatives from all areas of
our business.
